An utility boot that suits MY needs ! No more absolute located stuff in memory. I hope you like my bootblock ! How to use it: ญญญญญญญญญญญญญญ CLI Usage only !! SYNTAX: VectorBOOT n n = is the drive you want to install If you installed the bootblock, hold the RIGHT mousebutton pressed during boot. You should now enter the bootblock. If both little lines are GREEN, the nothing is found in memory. If the're RED then the bootblock found something check for a "?". The "?" marked address are NOT STANDARD It's propably a virus or so, press F5 to KILL it. Press ESC or LEFT mousebutton to continue to boot. PS: If the bootblock wasn't installed, check if the disk was write-protected If this isn't the case then you propably have booted up with a VIRUS ! Get rid of it and try again ! The bootblock gives you a variety of information. The first column shows you the Interrupt vectors levels 1-7. The second columb shows you some of the execbase vectors and values. COLD = ColdCapture (mostly used by viruses, (SetPatch r uses it also !)) COOL = CoolCapture WARM = WarmCapture (almost never used, but for the completness) TAG = KickTagPtr (Resident code, RAD: VD0: Viruses,etc.) MEM = KickMemPtr (memlists) CHK = KickChksum the checksum over TAG and MEM CHIP: The amount of CHIP memory currently available FAST: The amount of FAST memory currently available Then you have a few 'tools' Press: F1 = to toggle between 50Hz and 60Hz (ECS only !!!!) F2 = to kill ALL extra memory (only 512Kb left !!) F3 = to kill ALL extra drives (only one drive left !!) F4 = to reset (nothing is killed) F5 = to HARD reset (everyting is cleared and all viruses are killed) F6 = to write the bootblock to another disk (don't forget to insert that disk !) Important notes: ญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญญ NOTE: This bootblock is not garanteed to work on every configuration. If it doesn't work please let me know.
