1993! Another year has started. Another historical period has started with the European Unification. Another semester of schools and university has begun and of course another issue of Scene Talk has reached your computer. Happy new year to all of you out there just having started to read this mag's most actual issue.
Finally, this is the finished version of the third issue of our mag. '3 that's a magic number'! That's what De La Soul sing in one of their songs and so am I thinking. The first two issues of a diskmag were never taken too serious by the scene. But this and the following issues should ! We think that our mag is quite good at least if we take a close look on all the new diskmags released by different groups - our mag must be quit good if they all use a little bit the same style as we - with the same topics the articles are about !
We mean for example this diskmag released by Voi**, there was quite the same Smilie-Article in as in the last issue of Scene Talk well there where some more smilies in but we think you know what we mean ... or also the other mags like Ziptronix who typed in the news in the last issues complained the news in these mags look really copied from Scene Talk 1 and 2 ! Well, that all is nothing against all the other disk-mags - for sure the scene need em but we have our style - so please try to find your own style also ... thx
Another thing is that the votes we get from the Mail-Scene are getting less. Most of the dudes voted for this Issue came from the Modem-Scene. THE C64 SCENE
STILL ALIVE
Hi!
This is Remix/Clique, a guy who is quite new in the Amiga scene writing this article. Well, the reason why i write it is that, i have been on the Commodore 64 scene for about 4 years now, (...and i am still active there with 170 contacts and also editing the #1 disk-magazine). There always have been said a few words about the Amiga scene, and i want to talk about this event, both from the C64 scene towards Amiga, and Amiga scene towards C64.
What i have witnessed on the Amiga scene towards the C64 is that, most of you think the C64 is completely dead. Yes, the C64 is not the favourite home computer anymore, but there is a fact that it is NOT dead at all. It has a very active and a very big scene, with everything the Amiga scene has, a great amount of swappers, crackers, hackers, and everything. Most of you maybe think that the C64 software is very very less, but i guess if i tell you that that there are about 70-80 cracking groups on the C64 scene, you can understand that the software for C64 is still going strong.. Even after 10 years!. 10 great years for the C64 on the market!
I wish that you all could see the recent C64 demos. Nearly all the effects that we can see on Amiga demos are immitated (if this is the right word) on the C64 demos with a big success.. 40 sides Glenz vectors, the Twist scroller on the Hardwired demo, plasmas, rubber, transparent and all those kinds of vectors, pixeled vectors, raytracing, and much more effects that i cant remember now, are the techniques being used on the C64 demos nowadays. The demo groups have a very hard compo among themselves, and that surely brings the hardwork and quality.
What the C64 guys say about the Amiga demos is that. there is nearly no creativity and different routines. All the same stuff, vector cubes, coppers, plasmas and thats it.. But ofcourse we can not deny some great demos, but, i guess you also agree with the me that there are hardly any shocking demos.. You may think that i am always defending the C64, but no, i am objective.. On the C64, most of the demos are amazing, as all the demos released recently are above the C64 level. Who could imagine that you would create 600 sprites on one screen on C64?? Or would you ever dreamed that there would be 120 different colours, which is normally only 16? Or, instead of using only 4 colours in one cursor area, now C64 can use all the 16 colours, so you can make 320x200 resulation full-coloured pictures.. Well, these may mean nothing to you, if you dont know anything about C64, but surely, they are infact a big development..
Now about the Amiga and its scene, from the C64 guys. When you say Amiga to a C64 pal, he says: Nooo!. It is (L)Amiga! which indicates that the Amiga is a lame machine. Well, this is not the truth ofcourse, the Amiga is not lame ofcourse, but this is a way of taking back the revenge from the Amiga.. What revenge? Well, the big C64 scene is always losing members to the Amiga scene, and this annoys most of the C64 scene guys. You can say that this is a kind of jealousy, well, i cant refuse this fact, but still, C64 guys dont like the Amiga that much.. There are lots of guys in the C64 scene, who has got an Amiga, but they only play games with it, because they all think the C64 scene is better..
Why better?? Well.. I can give you lots of examples.. As i have just came to the Amiga scene i saw some strange things.. For example, paying money to become a member of a decent group on the Amiga is very strange.. Well, i am not a dick-head but instead of paying money to be a member, or to have my board under the name of a group, i would stay independent. This scene, the computers are fun, and i simply would refuse such events, where people would try to make profit of this big hobby. On the C64 you dont have such things, i guess that is a more friendly scene. (big deal?) Yes, there are some pay-members of big groups on the C64, but you have to be completely lame to be a pay member. If you have a little ability, you always can find a group for yourself. I simply HATED this pay-thing on the Amiga scene, i heard some events, and.. bah, i am sorry, i really hated this.. Hope the pay-guys wont be angry with me, but coming from a really-hobby-taking-scene, i simply cant stand this event..
Also, the modem scene is very different. On the C64 boards, all the guys share a common discussion or subject. There is always a big talk going on between ALL the users of the board, in the message-sub. But on the Amiga, there are 2 people discussing, or lots of bbs-advertisements covering the message sub. I guess it would be interesting to discuss about politics, religion and all that kind of stuff with the users of the board, calling from all the world. You can easily do that on C64 boards, eventhough you may not know all the users, you all can discuss.. And i think this is the way it should be. Just try to call a C64 board, and you will see what i mean..
Well.. I think most of you are now a bit angry with me, thinking i behave just like a C64 guy would behave. Well, that is right though, but i dont ask a lot from you. I wrote this article just to let you know one thing.. We, the C64 scene is aware that the C64 wont live long.. But still, some of you guys should see the C64 as a dead machine. It is living, and the scene especially, is going very strong. I wish that the C64 and the Amiga scenes would have more common points, but for the time being, they dontt...And when they have, it might be too late for the old-legend C64.. Anyway...

BLUEBOXING IS HARDER
THAN
FUCKING A BITCH FOR FREE
Well, this is well known.. To box over USA got very difficult starting from the 24th of December. The changes in the phreaking activities brought some guyz to quit because it was harder to make some kewl tradings or, mainly, 'cos someone didn't want to take the risk any longer. In the last months, let me say in the last 4 months, a lotta countrydirects have been fucked up. Argentina worked fine till September '92 and the same was for MCI. They were two nice trunks to make global calls. France died some weeks after the big busting of the french boards, during the summer. And now France simply doesn't exist for Euro bluboxers. On Xmas, as you all know, the USA died.
Fortunately it is still possible to box over to the States, in particular hours during da day and modifiyng a little the boxing approach, but still to call USA is not as easy as it was. For sure, the new situation gained some advantages: We all know that in Italy, anybody was able to box everywhere thanks to some $$ given to criminals who used to sell da box as if it was chewing gum. Now these guys, or at least most of them are not able to box anymore and those cool enough managed to find a solution very soon.
The AT&T market grows faster and lotta guys are now selling their cards or trying to hack them. Well this is normal and right since it simply means that there are also kewl dudes who don't accept limitation and try to fight. But unfortunately there are also lotta lamers who are going around saying 'I'm an Elite, since I'm still able to call for free', or 'I have my own method', or 'I have a new box which allows you to call very easily and I'm the only one who has it', or people who 1 hour after the box disaster of the 24th of December said that they already had the new freqs. I would say: if anybody really has this 'new method' or the 'new box' or whatever the hell he has, and he doesn't want to spread around the info, I agree with him. But I also don't see any reason to let others know this, just to say, 'I'm a cool dude' or 'I'm Elite'. Phreaking or not, we all know who the 'cools' are. To brag about this only makes a bad figure.
Anyway, the phreaking scene is working fast and actively and my feeling is that sooner or later, we'll be able to box as we did just 1 month ago. Phreaking is the most important argument of nowadays..and this is the reason why I am talking about this. I noticed, for example, a greater activity of message exchange on H/P areas in the last weeks, making the phreaking areas of several boards the most used conference, (sometimes much more than the Amiga one!) Which is all to say..
But there is also one strange thing that it is worth taking into account. According to a text file that I read some months ago, in october '92 all the country directs from England to the USA where not working for 2 days..I mean that not only they were not seizable but the outdial did'nt work for 2 days for normal VOICE calls, also. This guy was saying that it was very strange that the British Telecom would allow to loose 2 days of earning just for fun.. Maybe they were doing some dirty job during those 2 days. The same thing happened in Italy and Germany. Also the german blueboxers had their lines fucked up during Xmas, especially in the northern part Germany..but now, as I had the occasion to know from a german trader friend of mine, he is still able to phreak all over the world.
What should we think? Are the phone companies of some countries changing their machinery so that they are able to trace? Why in a few months, England, Germany and Italy had troubles with blueboxing only for a limited periods of time? As I said before, the difficulties in blueboxing during these dayz made the AT&T black market grow faster and faster and a lot of guyz are now looking for AT&T sellers as if they were pussy. Or they are trying to hack the codes by themselves.
There are rumours around that AT&T is able to trace any fucked card used by anybody from the major phreaking countries. I don't know whether this is true or not, but I can say that there are some European countries, especially in the northern part (Scandinavia) in which the only valid method of phreaking is AT&T since the bluebox died more than 1 year ago. But I have never heard anything about Scandinavian phreakers getting busted, while a Swede told me that they are going to die since in '93 their phone company will install a new tool which allow the tracing in a very fast time (now it takes more than 3 hours).
I think nobody has any doubts about the fact that any phreaking activity is going to die. Nobody could say when this will happen, but for sure, phone companies don't want to pay a lot of money (we are talking about millions of dollars each year) for our hobby. The word 'tracing' is very common among phreakers and in all over da scene, but if we compare the number of guyz who box every day with the number of those who get busted or arrested for fraud, we can say that TODAY boxing is quite a safe activity, even if they are NOT a safe phreaking method. But I would suggest you guyz be careful in the future, anywayz.

PHONE TERROR
You wanna make phoneterror to a really fucking guy (like KIMBLE)? But you do not want to get busted? Then read thiz txt carefully!
There are different wayz of making riskless (?) phoneterror. But they are only riskless if the guy u wanna fuck off DOES NOT KNOW THAT IT MIGHT BE YOU !! Otherwise you could get lotsa problems... hehe... I just made thiz mistake, but he couldn't proof anything... hehe...
Ok, when u think it's safe, here are the things u could do:
1. If you've got a sister between 13 and 25, let her say things like 'Hey, wanna have a fuck? Then call me...
The number is XXX... See you...'
Ok I guess u know what I mean. Just sample this sentences and call yer favourite partylines... especially pervert ones! And then you play the samples, and you'll see... The number you sampled will be busy till 4AM... hehe I checked it... But I guess u need zome more samplez to built up a little conversation! Otherwise the guyz may check that u fool'em!
2. Call a 'Add-Mag' (nice word) that just prints the Add and the phonenumber. Tell the girlie (usually...) the number of your 'friend' and offer a A500 1 Meg Ram for 100$. Or a Jaguar for 5000$. Or a flat, 100$/month... Please call only from saturday 21.00 to Sunday 10.00o'clock. Those people will have a real phun... hehe
Ok, I guess you know the principe. You can't get busted coz you are not the one who calls... hehehehehe... If you know other ways 2 make phoneterror u know the mag 2 send it 2... hehe!
If you don't wanna make phoneterror or if it gets boring after zome weex there is another c000000l possibility to crash da nervs a your motherfucking friend... But it costs u a stamp and a cover !!! ARGH! But the guy will be VERY shocked... But b sure that the guy can speak english !!!

ST : Hi joker ... tell us something more about you like where you live
and how old you are and so on ...
JO : Well, the usual stuff... I started with the whole computer business in
1983 or so, when I first got my VIC20 and my first Commodore 64...
The Amiga came in 1986 or so... Im right now 22 years old, I live
around Nuernberg, and I just hate this scene...
ST : Why do you hate it ? How long are you now a part of it ?
In what groups where you before ? How did all started ?
JO : It all started on the C64, as I was in some crews like AFL, GCF,
WANDERER GROUP, ELITE and so on... In those days, a real cool scene
existed,not many assholes there and lots of great parties and
stuff.. But since I started on Amiga about 5 years ago (about 1 year
in the modem 'scene' now!),Ive just met millions of people I
just cant stand... Only a few guys out there which I call 'Friends'...
ST : How did you got in the so called 'Scene' ? Did you know other
dudes in you city who where in or how did all started ?
Did you started as swapper like a lot of new dudes nowadays do ?
JO : Well, I got into the scene as I bought my first modem, and asked
MRC of Ministry (who I know for some years now from the old C64, where he
was buying software from me!) about some board numbers and how to phreak
via MCI ... Right after I figured that shit out, I just hopped from board
to board an spread tons of software, and wrote millions of mail to other
people... Thats the main reason why Im in the scene: TO MEET SOME COOL
DUDES WHO KNOW THAT THERE ARE STILL MORE THINGS IN LIFE THAN JUST 'STUPID
COMPUTER SHIT' ... After a while, I became quite known (And that really
wasnt hard to accomplish!) and joined SILENTS... I was in LSD for a few
days too, but the members support there wasnt quite allright with me...
So I left them again... I did not do much under my Joker-handle before,
because Ive used a different one on the C64, but Ive also coded some
games under my C64-handle, so I thought it wouldnt be bad to change it..
Anyway, I was to known under my old one since the cops busted me once a
few years ago... so Ive saved that one for legal stuff...
ST : What handle ? hehe ... what did happen to after the cops busted you ?
Did you had to pay ?
JO : Well, I dont want to write my old handle here, but all guys who knew
me on C64 will know me now again if I write the secret phrase:
BAZOLLO BORA! Hehehhe... The cops didnt do anything to me, coz they
found no software (I was swapping with some of them at the time...)
...So they had to cancel all steps taken against me...
ST : When we are talking about this topic - what do you think of
Gravenreuth ?
JO : Well, actually I know Gravenreuth very well since a few years, met him
on a few parties (the old Radwar ones) and talked to him quite a couple
of times... I dont have anything against him, coz hes only doing his
job, as I do mine...
ST : What other things are you doing in your freetime ??
How long are you trading everyday ?? Don't cheat me I know your
busy phoneline hehe
JO : Hehehe ... Well, actually I have taken some kind of holiday right
now... As normally I have to lead my own Software house and have to
care about the stuff people send me to check if its distributable...
Besides I code myself some games and write articles for some german
newspapers like JOM and 64er...
ST : Are you coding the games alone or are you coding in coperation with
another coder ? and who is doing the music and graphics ? also
wellknown guys from the scene ??
JO : Yeah , of course! I code together with one guy from former 711/Warriors
of Darkness, who has also done some quite nice stuff on his own... We
mostly use freelancers for graphics and sound, amongst them are X-Ample
and Lords of Sonics...
ST : So all known C64 dudes ... and whats about games on The Amiga ?
What freelancers do you have there ?
JO : Well, only one of our games came out on Amiga so far, it was
distributed by Starbyte and we didnt make the conversion... It was
quite lousy! Right now, we are working on our first roleplaying game
for the Amiga,which should set some new standarts! We dont know yet, who
will do the sound and graphics stuff, but I already have some very nice
offers from several guys, which I will have to check out first...
ST : What do you think of Software-Piracy ? How much does a coder, graphican
or musician get per hour or so ... do you get a standart amount of money
or a percentual of the sold originals ??
JO : Wew! Hard question! Well, I personally think piracy has to exist, as
long as there are overprized shitty games coming out to make some quick
dough... The payment for the graphicans and so on vary from game to game, but
normally it's like this: (for a C64-adventure):
Overall money: about 15000 DM to 25000 DM
Graphic: about 3000 to 5000DM
Sound: between 300 to 1000DM
So there isnt a lot of money earned for the coders, if we need about
three to six month to program a good game... And as it goes for percentual
payment... Well, I never liked it... The software companies usually dont
make a fair cut for the coders there... Lot of cheating going on with
this...
ST : Well and lets go back to your 'Scene-Life' ... well so do you have
good contact to most of the dudes in silents ...?? and did you spreaded
the cracked version of Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies ?? as it was
a production from members ?? hehe
JO : Well, I have quite good contacts to all of the important members
there... Most of them are really nice dudes! And of course I
didnt spread the PD and PF releases, because I usually dont touch stuff
coded by friends of mine... Its some kind of codex I have...
ST : Well so do you know about any new releases of Silents or
something like new courses for Pinball Fantasies ???
JO : Well, as far as I know, they dont code on courses right now, but they

How to play the game
In the different texts page numbers are used to direct you through the game. The mentioned page number in fact an article number. An example, when in the text is written 'go to page 5' then go to the article 'Trip to Aars 5'. It's november 1992, its fucking cold out, and it's raining... You sit
in front of your loved AMIGA and play a round of FLASHBACK. You
think: Great, it's so warm in here, and dry, I won't go out the whole
day. But there's such a strange feeling in your stomach... It always
says:
OPEN YOUR POSTBOX ! OPEN YOUR POSTBOX !
But you always think:
FUCK YOU ! FUCK YOU ! It's raining!!
But after ten minutes of listening to your stomach you say: FUCK!
And you open your door. Damn, its still raining, black clouds
everywhere... But your stomach still says:
OPEN YOU POSTBOX !
You see that you have no chance against your stomach, so you decide to
visit your postbox.
If you want to rush to the bus and try to get it over as fast as
possible, turn to page 8.
If you want to check your room if you have everything you need, turn
to page 15.

You take your ticket out of the pocket and handle it over to the
driver. He just sais it's ok and he drives you to the city. After 15
minutes of driving the bus arrives. You go out and see the post
office 100 meters down the street. You go to it and see two
entrances, the main entrance and the little door left to the main
entrance.
If you think you should enter the office through the main entrance,
turn to page 6.
If you think you should better try the back door, turn to page 10.

and tell the clerk the number of your postbox. The guy looks on a
list next to him and says:

You think:

You turn round and want to run out of the office. You run just into

'You are arrested. Everything you say can be used against you.'
You just say:
'SUCH A F#CKING SH#T !!! I'll shoot ya all !!!!'
You take out your gun to shoot one of the cops, but in the same second
a bullet hits you between your eyes. You just think:
'SHIT.......................and all because of my stomach.......'

Ok, you prepare to die. You look at these 20 guys in the bus starring
at you. You see them placing bets on you. The bus driver raises his
hat and takes it to his chest. No noise. Absolute silence. Even the
clouds stopped raining. Then - a big BUMM!
And another scene guy has left the scene of his own free will.

So you go out and close the door: BUMM! You are very, very angry and
you go down the street to the busstop. 20 people are standing under
the roof of the busstop. Your local rugby team ! You go to them, and
you look at them... 40 eyes starring at you... you stare at 40
eyes... and you decide to wait in the rain. After ten minutes of
waiting, you already wish you could wring out your underwear, the bus
arrives. It's empty. You rush to the point where the bus will stop.
SPLASH! You forgot that it's raining, and the bus rushes through an
enourmous puddle. You can't remember of feeling such wet ever before.
Only when you are standing under the shower. But you always prefered
to use hot water. Its 5 degrees Celsius out here.
Ok, you've managed to stand right in front of the door of the empty
bus.
You think:
'At least I'll have a warm seat...'
The bus openes the door. You put your left leg on the stair.
WRUUUUM! 40 feet step on you !!! Every single one feels like a
hammer. There you lay, on the stairs of the bus that will drive you
to the city, to your postbox. If you still want to go there!
If you think, you'd better go to bed and won't leave it 'till next
day, turn to page 13.
If you still want to go to your postbox, turn to page 17.
If you think you don't want to live any longer with this shame, you
can blow you your brain out with the gun in your pocket, a 47er

And he starts shouting at you:

And he gives you many kicks and punches, until you start puking blood.
Then he stops hurting you, and gives you a final hit with his mofa on
your head. I think you are dead now, so just turn to page 22.

knock on the door. A guy in a grey suit opens and says:
'Ah, Mr. Asshole, we were already waiting for you! Just come in!'
You just don't understand what this guy wants from you, so you just
follow him. He brings you to a big room with about 20 chairs. There
is only one free chair left, so you sit down there. The others stand
up and sit down again. One begins to speak:
'Mr. Asshole, you are surely interested why we wanted you to come
here, and we are glad that you did. The cops are getting awake more
and more, and they already busted three of our LSD transports from
Great Britain to Germany. I think we should get more active, too, and
try to protect our transports a bit better. What do you think we
should do against the activities of the police?
Damn, you entered a meeting of druggangsters, and they think you are
the organizer of the transports !! Better think twice before you
decide what you will say!!

home... You leave the building and go to the bus stop. You enter the
bus that it just coming around the corner. You enter the bus and the
bus driver says:
'Ticket, please.'
You stare him straight into the face and just say:
'Ughaaa... bloerp... home... aergh... urgl...'
The bus driver says in a pity tone:
'Ohh... Ok... I'll drive you home...'
Yeah, THAT'S the way to get a free bus drive !! The bus takes you
home and you go to your toilet. After puking 3 times, you really feel
relieve. You go to bed and fall asleep at once.

hurry. You are unable to stand up quick enough, so the bus driver
decides to close the door and drives away. Another 20 minutes in this
cold, but at least you are alone at the bus stop, finally a dry place.
After 25 minutes, the bus is late, the bus arrives and you want to
enter it. The driver opens the door, and you go in. 'Bus ticket,
please' the driver says. You rammage your pockets for the ticket.
If you have found a ticket somewhere, turn to page 2.

1992 The Year of Guns N Roses
Without any doubt 1992 was the year of
Guns'N'Roses. The band's two albums
of the Use Your Illusion lable reached
the bibbest success the band has ever
had with one of their releases. These
two albums had a couple of songs whith
which they managed to reach also the
top of the charts. The big break
through came with the first big
concerts of the 'Use Your Illusion'
world-tour. Gigs like for example the
one in Paris became legendary
happenings for everyone who likes
Guns'N'Roses just a little bit.
Nearly every concert of the tour was
sold out. The videos of their most
successfull songs were shown on Mtv
some serveral times every day. The
trip to the top already seemed to be
eternal! At the end of December of
1992 there was another high-light for
the band by reaching the second place
of the Mtv Headbanger's Ball top 40
video award. And then there came a
horrible news: W.Axl Rose, the leader
of Guns'N'Roses thinks about breaking
up the band. He protected all the
rights for the name Guns'N'Roses and
said that he will again think about
this step. So if Axl will leave the
band the bloody rest of the band will
not be able to continue the legendary
band without him. Due to the latest
news of Mtv the Guns'N'Roses are going
to continue their world-tour at the
end on January in Japan. This is a
ray of hope for all the fans of the
glory band. The only thing they can
do for now is to wait and hope that
1993 will be another area in the
history of the Guns'N'Roses !

radio-station broadcasted the song
LIVE AND LET DIE. Guess who are the

This issue's Golden Oldie is:
METALLICA: Master Of Puppets
The 'Master Of Puppets' longplayer was
released by Metallica in the year of
1986. Its total playtime is about 60
Mins and it contains 8 tracks while
one of the is just an instrumental one
(Orion). You can already see from the
fact that the band managed to put only
8 songs on a 60 Mins long album that
the single songs are all quite long.
The shortest one is the eighth and
last song of this CD called 'Damage
Inc.' (isn't there a BBS around with
the same name?) with a total length of
'only' 5,08 Mins. Nearly every single
one of the songs contains great
solo-parts of both, guitars and drums.
The fact that this album was already
released in the year of 1986 let you
may be ask the question if their music
already was of the same style like the
stuff of their last and without any
doubt also most successfull album.
And I can tell you that your thoughts
of a different style were right. The
songs of Master Of Puppets are a
little bit heavier then the more
actual ones like for example 'Enter
Sandman' or 'Never Again'.
Nevertheless Master Of Puppets is a CD
which I did not like right at the
first time I listened to it, but after
getting used to the songs I really had
a lot of fun with it.

REVIEW:
NIRVANA - Incesticide
Everybody knows that Nirvana have had
a great success with their previoes
album called Nevermind. The band's
fans were now looking forward to the
follower of that great release. For
all those guys who expected an album
in the same style like nevermind was
waited in vain. Incesticide is a
little bit different from Nevermind.
It contains 15 tracks which are more
in a tendency to the band's first
Longplayer (Bleach). The (new) songs
are, like those ones of Bleach, a bit
more heavy like the ones of Nevermind,
but in my opinion that is absolutly
not a disadvantage. After having
heard all the songs a couple of times
I really have to say that I lerned to
love nearly all the tracks.
Especially some song like for example:
Sliver, Son Of A Gun, Hairspray Queen.
On the cover of the CD the band claims
to have included Rare B-Sides, BBC
Sessions, Original Demo Recordings,
Outtakes, Stuff Never Before
Available and I really promise you
that they keep these announcements on
the CD.
Final remark: Nirvana's Incesticide
is a CD which should you should not
miss at all to have in you collection
if you liked !both! Bleach and
Nevermind!

Why Have A Pardey!

Ok well,this pardey is a follow up to the very successful Eclipse '92 which took place last August in Dublin's Royal Dublin Hotel.
Hopefully with a lot of effort,this pardey can improve on where the last pardey went wrong.
80 dudes turned out for the last pardey.The purpose of such a pardey is so all the dudes on the iRiSH scene can meet each other and generally have loadza phun.Dudes who attend can enter the graphics/musak/demo comps & take part in cool game playing comps.
Overall the main aim of the pardey is to show the world that there is an AMiGA scene in iRELAND and most importantly,that we can be as good as anyone else when it comes to releasing top quality warez.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING ?

Ok for dudes that haven't been to a pardey before,heres how it goes.
If at all possible,bring your own computer and monitor. Our experience from past pardies both in Europe and iReland is that people get really cheesed off on the day if they have to wait to use someone elses computer for either copying disks or for just put the finishing touches on one of their competition entries.
External drives are especially welcome on the day in order to speed up disk duplication and for the general faster flow of the pardey.
Blank Disks on the day can be obtained from Computer City Computer Store which is less than 1 minute walk from the Pardey Venue.The store opens from 12 midday until approx 17:00,disks can be purchased for approx IR.50p each,which may be a little expensive,so we recommend that you bring your own blanks in advance.If anybody can provide disks on the day at a reasonable price,then contact one of the organisers.
Don't forget your pardey ticket on the day as no tickets will be sold on the day due to Hotel rules.

AARS PARTY REPORT
On December the 26th, we (the Genetic crew : Feanor and Tib, Samsman of The Flame Arrows and the co-driver Abraxas) started our trip to Aars to what was supposted to be the best party ever...
At about midnight the 27th we reached Aars and after a little driving around we went straight to the party place. When we drove up the parking place we already noticed some Amiga fans walking around. The party was supposed to start at 8:00 but when we entered the party place we discovered that hall 2 was already filled with Amigas. Well, it was only a temporary place to hook up the Amiga, because hall 1, the main hall wasnt open yet. So, till 8:00 we walked around and then finally the party started.
Everybody went to the main entrance door to pay the 120 Dkk.. But because the organizers only used 1 entrance the queue became longer and longer. It became even worse when the organizers ran out of small change, so they had to go into town to get more... Well finally after about an hour we paid and got our votedisk with some party info on it and a voting form.
Finally partytime !! There were three halls, the first hall was for the Amiga- Elite. In this hall were also the bigscreen, the stage and the videoroom. Hall 2 was for more Amiga, Pc and C-64. Hall 3 was the sleeping hall.
The first day was a bit boring, because nothing happened really, so we had some time to check out the toilets and showers. The toilets were ofcourse clean at the beginning, but after days it got worse. There were too few toilets. Often you had to wait in line. Well, they even had showers. Showers ? What showers ? Only 2 !! showers.. Not much for over 2000 people, or what ! Anyway, for those who got a bit bored the first day there was the laserdisk room near the bigscreen where movies were shown...
The second day began with the Techno Concert from Kyd/Balle. They held their concert on stage in front of the bigscreen. On the screen they played some nice own made videoclips. Stroboscopes, a light show and a smoke generator were also included and together it looked pretty cool. The concert lasted for less than an hour. After the concert most people went to hall 3 to get a nap.
The second day was much more interesting than the first day, because there was the intro compo, the music compo and the graphics compo. The intro compo wasnt quite wat I suspected, most intros didnt have any new routines, except for a few groups like Mellon.. The music compo was for many guys who competed a disaster, because the organizers didnt play all the modules. That meant that many GOOD musicians didnt even get a chance. The songs were all played for 2 minutes, so on some songs you only could hear the intro. After the music compo the graphics compo started. Many artists had entered the compo with GREAT pictures, which made it a really cool compo...
After day 2 we went to sleep.. Not that we were able to sleep very well, there was too much noise, and people were boozing around. The organizers should have paid more attention to keep it a quiet place.
At day three the long awaited demo competition started. At the beginning they showed the State Of The Art demo from Spaceballs. The whole audience was very stunned about those nice n cool effects. At least one group which didnt lack on originality. Well, ofcourse there were more demos who got lottsa success. After the compo it was time to vote. Everybody was able to fill in the voting form on disk and leave it with the organizers. Hmm. I wonder how many people really returned the vote disk.. It was also possible to buy a party T-shirt.
Afterall it was a great party with lottsa good points. Also a few bad ones but who really cares about that.. It was THE PARTY of the year......
